Meet Coach Kyle
Meet CrossFit Phillipsburg’s STAFF Spotlight this week:
Kyle Latourette, head coach and programmer of CFPBurg.
Kyle works full time as a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric ICU Sedation Department of Saint Peter’s University Hospital. He started CrossFit 7 years ago while he and his wife Ana (also a CrossFitter) were living in Staten Island. Kyle had been working out and lifting weights for about ten years before he started CrossFit. Nevertheless, it wasn’t until he saw a video of the 2011 CrossFit Games that he decided to give the gym down the road a try. Kyle played high school sports and college lacrosse but CrossFit was a different ball game. Since then, Kyle has been doing CrossFit consistently five times per week with some CrossFit competitions in between. He obtained his CrossFit Level 1 and USAA Weightlifting Certificates five years ago and has been coaching since then.
In 2018, he was asked to take the lead doing CrossFit Phillipsburg’s programming and he continues to do so to this day. Kyle loves to lift heavy weights and you will probably not see him running a marathon. Kyle believes that having a balanced diet is key to your CrossFit success.
